5 Craft Fair Tips
The first thing your potential customers will see is your display. Be sure to make a good first impression. Take the time to have a well organized and clean display. A poorly constructed display can negatively impact the perception of your items. Nicer displays will attract more customers. Have a nice banner as well. You can order custom banners online very inexpensively. Include your logo if you have one. Craft shows are different than flea markets, make your setup nice.
Be positive and greet your customers. Introduce yourself. Do not be too pushy or pressure them. Allow them to browse and do not hover.
Put prices on everything. Use tags that include your contact information as well. Tags or stickers can be purchased at your local office supply store. It can be awkward for customers to have to ask for prices and some may simply leave if prices are not shown.
Bring Business Cards. They can help bring you orders in the future. Include your contact info along with your website address. Have a nice display for them up front so people can take them and include one with each purchase.
Have some help. Your setup will be faster, more customers can be taken care of simultaneously, and there will be less chance of being distracted and inviting theft. It is also much more fun to have someone else around.
Happy Selling
